Azerbaijan greatly increases imports of tobacco products from Georgia

In January-February 2019, Azerbaijan imported almost 500 tons of tobacco products worth $10 million from Georgia, reads a foreign trade report of the National Statistics Office of Georgia, Trend reports.
Imports of tobacco products increased over the period by 48.5 percent, and by 43.6 percent in value terms.
In the first two months alone, Georgia exported tobacco products worth $17.6 million, and 56.2 percent of these products were exported to Azerbaijan.
In January-February 2019, exports from Georgia to Azerbaijan increased by 25.2 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to $58.4 million (9.5 percent of total Georgian exports value).
Georgia mainly exports cars, medicines, cattle and tobacco products to Azerbaijan.
