Gazakh Cement Plant, one of the major building materials manufacturers of Azerbaijan, has now suspended export operations to neighboring countries, a source at the plant told Trend.
"Over the three-month period of the current year, the enterprise exported only clinker to neighboring Georgia. Since the beginning of the year, the export volume to the Georgian market amounted to 3,253 tons of clinker," said the source.
"At the same time, for the reporting period of the year, cement as the main type of building material produced at the plant was sold domestically. Within just three months, 205,900 tons of cement were produced. This year, the enterprise plans to increase its export potential to 25 percent by incrementing the production volumes to 30 percent and above," the source added.
According to the source, the plant intends to increase total production volumes up to 1.5 million-1.6 million tons of building materials in 2020.
As of now, this indicator makes up 1.2 million tons of the products.
Gazakh Cement Plant LLC is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials in Azerbaijan. The plant produces cement, concrete and clinker.
