Iran announces number of enterprises to be commissioned in Golestan province

As many as 235 industrial enterprises, construction of which has been completed by 60 percent, will be put into operation in the Golestan province in northeastern Iran, said Hossein Toluian, chairman of the Golestan province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.
According to Toluian, it is forecast that 15 trillion rials (about $357 million) will be invested in these enterprises.
Toluian added that 5,000 people will be provided with jobs with the commissioning of the enterprises.
The official said that last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 20, 2020), Iran issued licenses for the establishment of 384 industrial enterprises and the commissioning of 139 enterprises in Golestan province. With the commissioning of these industrial enterprises, more than 2,000 people were employed.
"Investment in the province's industrial sector has increased from 5.6 trillion rials [about $133 million] to 9 trillion rials [about $214 million] last year," he said.
