Iran's auto parts industry suffers, while housing, foreign currency markets emerge

TEHRAN, Iran, Sept.12

Trend:

Iran's auto parts industry is suffering from both lack of investments and obstacles for production, created thanks to sanctions, Head of Iran Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (IAPMA) Reza Rezaei said, Trend reports via IRNA.

He added that the sanctions created problems with oil sales, exports, money transfers - all of which affects how businessmen work, and this situation continues.

"Iranian producers have shown that they are capable of supplying necessary goods for domestic demand, but mismanagement has slowed down the economic growth," he added.

"Although there are good improvements in knowledge-based companies, but the industry's hardware is worn out and needs to be renovated," he said.

"The economic growth happens thanks to production, but today, in these times, the production sector is slow to get back on its feet, while deals on gold, foreign currency, housing markets are booming," said Rezaei.
