The secretary of the Expediency Council said that the final decision on the establishment of 8 commercial-free zones and 13 special economic zones will be announced soon.
Hamidreza Momeni Azandariani as Secretary of the Supreme Council of Free Trade Zones has met the secretary of the Expediency Council to follow up on the bill to establish 8 free trade-industrial zones and 13 special economic zones in the country, Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the secretary of the Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei stressed the need to pay attention to the needs of strategic border points and the indigenous people of those areas.
"The final decision will be announced soon," Rezaie said.
8 free trade-industrial zones in provinces of Golestan (Inchehbrun), Ilam (Mehran), Ardabil (Ardabil), Sistan and Baluchestan (Sistan), Kurdistan (Baneh-Marivan), Hormozgan (Jask), Bushehr (Bushehr), and Kermanshah (Qasre Shirin) are the zoned to be established.
