Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Several business areas, in which Czech businessmen could be successful, were identified on the Georgian market, the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic told Trend.

The areas were identified as medical and pharmaceutical sectors, agriculture, transport and infrastructure, and energy, the ministry said.

"Our ministry together with the Czech Embassy in Tbilisi greatly supports trade and economic relations between the Czech Republic and Georgia," the source noted.

According to the ministry, the Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation between the Czech Republic and Georgia is held annually to promote business relations between the two countries. The last meeting of the Committee was held in Prague in November 2019.

"Together with the Georgian side, we plan to hold the next session as soon as the pandemic situation allows. Till then our representatives meet regularly via virtual economic consultations," the ministry added.

Also, the projects to support Czech exporters in specific sectors of trade are organized regularly, the source highlighted.
