Sale of poultry sharply reduces after revealing of bird flu in Azerbaijan, Trend reports quoting Tofig Tagiyev, the Director of the Goradilsky poultry factory, as saying on Monday.

According to Tagiyev, in 2005 annual sale of poultry at internal trade objects ranged from 50 to 60 tons of meat and over 2m eggs. At present the figure is much lower, he stressed.

Tagiyev stressed that work of incubators were suspended at the factory due to low sale.

Besides, they had to keep products in cold stores, but not all factories had cold stores. Broiler companies incur losses due to these additional measures, he underlined.

As to destroying of infected birds, Tagiyev noted that broiler companies had special plants preventing spreading of different diseases within the factory.

Purchasers can require all documents and conclusion on the products by enterprises, which are issued by appropriate state bodies, Tagiyev stressed.
