Azerbaijan can resume railway communication through the territory of the Chechen Republic of Russia if guarantees of security of trains passing by the Republic are provided by the Russian side, the State Railway Company of Azerbaijan toldTrend.

According to the Chief of the Department of Northern Caucasus Railway of Russian Railways Vladimir Vorobyev told that Chechnya is of great importance for transit in the system of Russian railways. It connects Russia with Transcaucasia. The next year through the Republics railways passenger trains from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia, he noted.

According to the State Railway Company of Azerbaijan, Checnya`s railways were used before the hostilities were started.. But later the flow of transportation of loads from Transcaucasia was directed through the territory of Dagestan from considerations of security. According to the representatives of the State Railway Company, the Dagestan route is a little longer than the Chechen one. Besides, the Chechen route is more advantageous for transportation to the European part of Russia. For the first stage if guarantees of security are provided, the transportation of loads can be carried out by this route. Only after that the possibility of conveyance of passengers can be considered.
