Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) studies the prospects of investing into the construction of the insulin plant, Trend reports. The Minister of Economic Development of Azerbaijan, Heydar Babayev, said at the meeting presided by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, that the Company has begun negotiations with foreign companies in this respect.
The necessity of resolving this question at the State level emerged due to the growing demand for insulin in Azerbaijan. Realizing the project will allow covering the demand for insulin at the expense of the high-quality internal production, as well as creating an opportunity to export these medicines, the Minister said. The project is estimated at $12 mln.
