Azerbaijan, Guba / corr Trend A.Gafarov / A new terminal has been opened at Samur Customs, on the Azerbaijani-Russian state border in the Khachmaz District, on 10 May.
Aydin Aliyev, the chairman of the State Customs Committee, who attended the opening ceremony, assessed the terminal as a strategic facility. "The new terminal will impact on the development of economic relationships between the two countries," Aliyev noted
Construction of the terminal began two years ago and covers the area of 5h. A total of AZN 5.1mln has been spent on its construction.
Khachmaz District, with the population of 130,000 people, is located 151 km from Baku.
