( Worldcarfans ) - AC Schnitzer, the Aachen-based German BMW and MINI-tuner, has unveiled a new tuning package for the current generation MINI Cooper S, the R56. The package, which offers an aero body kit with the front-spoiler and rear- and side-skirts in body color, also includes performance enhancements such as a new performance exhaust system and a Nurburgring-tested racing suspension.
AC Schnitzer is working on a engine performance upgrade for the 175hp turbo engine but does not give any details.
The tuning package will also include interior modifications such as aluminium pedals, a Schnitzer gear lever and other Schnitzer details. Customers will have a choice of 17- and 18-inch AC Schnitzer alloy wheels.
