Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Badalova / In January to November 2007 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) delivered to the Government 4.68bln cu m of natural gas compared to 3.4bln in the same period of 2006, SOCAR said. The company plans to supply 5.2bln cu m by the end of 2007.
From 1 December SOCAR is to deliver to the government 17mln cu m a day but by 11 December a total of 17.3mln cu m. was delivered. In December 2006 the company delivered approximately 12.9mln cu m of gas a day.
As a result of the implementation of the Gas Program there are plans to increase the volume of gas extraction by SOCAR to 8bln cu m a year and gas delivered to the Government to 7bln q m. Consequently, 20mln cu m of gas will be delivered to the Government per year.
