Ukraine’s Petrol Production Drops More than One Forth

Ukraine, Kiev, 14 November / Trend corr. Z.Novosvitskiy / From January to October the Ukrainian oil refinery plants reduced petrol production by 26% - to 2.679mln tons as compared to the same period in 2007, the State Committee for Statistics.

From January to October in Ukraine diesel fuel production dropped by 20.9% - to 2.919mln tons and fuel oil - by 35.2% to 1.920mln tons as compared to the same period in 2007.

Six oil refinery plants (ORP) function in Ukraine with total capacity of 51.11mln tons of oil a year. Three oil refinery plants, including the Odessa ORP (LUKoil), the Lisichan (MNC-BP) and the Kremenchug (Oil and gas of Ukraine), supervise over 66% of the Ukrainian petrol market and 51% - over diesel fuel market, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine said.
