Over 727 million kilowatts per hour of electricity or 8.2 percent more than forecast were produced from January to November by the Mingachevir Hydroelectric Power Station, which is an old energy facility in Azerbaijan, Azerenerji reported today. The cascade includes the Mingachevir and Varvara hydroelectric power stations.
The cascade produced over 167 million kilowatts per hour of electricity in November.
Repair works and upgrading will be held in 2010. Major repairs of the sixth hydraulic unit, and the replacement of auxiliary equipment of the first and second hydraulic units are planned to be held at Mingachevir. Reconstruction will also be held at Varvara.
