Canadian Carthage Energy inc Company plans to build a power plant in Kakheti, on the Story River. According to Georgian Ministry of Energy, this company is the only company which made the bid. The application deadline was January 15.
The government will make a decision on this proposal of the company during a week.
The Energy Ministry will submit the issue to the next governmental meeting.
Under the governmental program "Renewable Energy 2008", Carthage Energy inc is interested in building Story HPP 1 and HPP Story HPP on the River Story. The total capacity of two HPP is 20 megawatt.
The company is interested in construction of the cascade in Samegrelo consisting of four hydroelectric power plants with expected capacity of 105 megawatts. This proposal of Canadian company is under consideration in the Ministry of Energy.
