The quality of petrol produced in Iranian petrochemical complexes complies with international standards, Sharif Saeed Hosseini, member of the Industrial Committee of the Iranian parliament, was quoted by Mojnews agency.

Iran holds second by producing oil in OPEC. It ranks second on gas reserves in the world.

It is planned to increase petrol production, complying with Euro 4 and Euro-5, in the refineries of Abadan, Isfahan by 11 million liters per day for the next three years.  The amount of investments will hit $8 billion.

Iranian oil minister Massoud Mir-Kazemi said that Iranian six petrochemical complexes increased petrol production from 44 to 66.5 million liters per day.

Currently, the average consumption of petrol in Iran reduced by 63 million liters per day.
