The Astara power plant (southern region of Azerbaijan) generated 143 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-September. It is 14.5 million more than projected, Azerenergy JSC (production and distribution of electricity in Azerbaijan) said.
According to the report, the station generated 18.7 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in September compared to the projected 18 million.
Astara power station was commissioned in February 2006. Its capacity is 87 megawatts.
