SOCAR will use Cougar XT ROV underwater device to conduct research. The vehicle was made by SAAB Seaeye, a statement said.
According to the information, the decision to use the new device was made by highly skilled specialists of SOCAR after the equipment was tested.
Cougar XT ROV device will be used to examine pipelines within SOCAR's current projects.
A new device will be used for a number of other tasks, including inspection of ships, the report said.
SAAB Seaeye is the world's largest manufacturer of such equipment. Its parent company Saab Underwater Systems is a world leader in the production of sensory systems and the precise interaction.
