Turkmenistan auctions about 680,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned about 680,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The country put as stock trades about 30,000 tons of straight-run gasoline, over 150,000 tons of gasoline, over 180,000 tons of diesel fuel, 50,000 tons of liquefied gas, 40,000 tons of oil coke, about 10,000 tons of polypropylene, 10,000 tons of furnace oil, 200,000 tons of fuel oil and 10,000 tons of kerosene.

Companies from the UK, Russia and the United Arab Emirates last week purchased gasoline and polypropylene. Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products exceeds $8 million.

The representatives from Azerbaijan, Iran, China, Switzerland and Liechtenstein and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
