China National Petroleum Corporation CNPC plans to launch production of different types of oil and gas equipment in one of the western regions of Kazakhstan, Kazakh National company KazMunaiGas reported.
"KMG within the frame of its competence is going to render necessary assistance to CNPC to start the production in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan," KMG reported.
The two companies signed memorandum of mutual understanding on this project within the frame of Investment Forum 'Establishment of new production facilities in the Western Kazakhstan' which took place in Aktau on September 24-26.
The enterprise is expected to be specialized on the production of hi-tech oil and gas equipment used for longwall mining.
Currently the project cost estimates are carried out.
