In February 2016, Azneft production association, which is the production unit of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan), produced 8,060 tons of oil from 56 completely repaired wells, Trend was told March 10.
In general, Azneft conducted 1386 current and 87 general overhaul work in February.
Additional 1,960 tons of oil was produced from the dormant fund.
SOCAR includes such production associations as Azneft (the enterprises producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya (the chemical enterprises) and Azerigas (distributes gas produced in the country), as well as oil and gas processing plants, service companies, and the facilities involved in geophysical and drilling operations.
