By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

During the development of the giant Galkynysh gas field, the Turkmengas State Concern received a powerful industrial flow of natural gas at a depth of 4,496-4,342 meters from the 301st well, Trend reports referring to the state concern.

Experts estimate that the production well gives 1,868,000 cubic meters of fossil fuel daily.

In terms of its reserves, Galkynysh is one of the world’s largest gas fields.

UK’s Gaffney, Cline & Associates has estimated the reserves of the field (including Yashlar field) at 27.4 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.

The gas from Galkynysh field is supplied to the domestic market and exported to China. Moreover, this field is a resource base for supplying gas through the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline.
