British Petroleum (BP) continues construction of ACE (Azeri Central East), a new offshore platform for the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian sea in accordance with the plan, said Tamam Bayatly, BP Azerbaijan's Communications Manager told Trend.

Due to restrictions related to the pandemic, there were some delays in the delivery of materials and equipment, said Bayatly.

"However, despite the impact of the pandemic on construction activity, our plans to start the first production from this platform in 2023 remain unchanged," noted Bayatly.

Tamam Bayatli pointed put that the construction of the upper parts of the ACE platform continues at the Bibi-Heybat fabrication yard.

"The jacket fabrication is also progressing at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Deepwater Jackets Factory (BDJF). The subsea fabrication has commenced at BDJF with the subsea pipe coating currently ongoing at Caspian Pipe Coating (CPC)," concluded Bayatly.
