The Georgian Kartli wind farm generated 46.6 GWh in the first six months of 2020, which means a 51 percent increase in capacity, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Kartli wind farm received 9.4 million laris ($3.05 million) of income for 6 months of 2020.
Georgian Capital company owns the Kartli wind farm and plans to build new wind farms.
Georgian Capital bought this wind farm in Georgia in October 2019 for $14.4 million.
The wind farm was commissioned in December 2016 with an installed capacity of 20.7 MW and an average annual output of 84.1 million kilowatt-hours.
Under an agreement with the government, Georgian Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO) undertakes to buy 100 percent of the farm's electricity for 10 years at an estimated price of $6.89 per kilowatt.
The property of Kartli Wind Power Plant LLC consists of 11 hectares of land and 6 wind turbines (turbine model: V117-91.5HH), the capacity of each turbine is 3.45 megawatts.
