Kaluga Turbine Works OJSC continues to support modernization of TPP in Kazakhstan

The Kaluga Turbine Works (KTW) OJSC continues its activities aimed at supporting the modernization of the equipment of the Uralskaya Thermal Power Plant in Kazakhstan, the company told Trend.

In August 2020, it became known about the conclusion of an agreement between the Kaluga Turbine Works and the Zhaiykteploenergo company. Under the contract, KTW will manufacture and deliver to the Uralskaya TPP a set of power equipment, consisting of a steam turbine, a generator, and an automatic control system (ACS PTU).

The company noted that within the framework of this agreement, design documentation is currently being developed under the current contract. The delivery of equipment is planned for July 2021.

Uralskaya TPP is a local thermal power plant owned by Zhaiykteploenergo JSC. The combined heat and power plant provides the Uralsk city with heat and electric energy, has an electric capacity of 59 MW.

Kaluga Turbine Works is one of the largest manufacturers of equipment for the power industry in Russia. The production program includes steam turbines for driving electric generators, drive steam turbines, block turbine generators, steam geothermal turbines, and power units.
