Azerbaijan, Pakistan exchanged views on possibility of continuation of LNG supplies in future

Azerbaijan and Pakistan have exchanged views on the possibility of continuation of LNG supplies in the future, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan's embassy in Pakistan.

Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) and met with Mr. Muhammad Shakeel Munir, President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Executive Members of ICCI on November 22, 2021.

ICCI President Muhammad Shakeel Munir firstly thanked Ambassador Khazar Farhadov for the visit and expressed satisfaction with the sincere relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Informing about the structure and activities of ICCI, the President spoke about the future activities of ICCI in further enhancing trade relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.

Speaking about the high level of political relations between the two countries, Ambassador Khazar Farhadov stressed the importance of developing economic and trade relations and informed the works carried out in recent months in this regard. Talking on the potential of import-export products between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, Farhadov noted the importance of identifying specific projects and taking practical steps as a result of direct discussions within the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Joint Commission, as well as between the business circles of the two countries in this direction.

The sides also noted the importance of SOCAR's LNG supplies to Pakistan so far in terms of developing economic and trade relations between the two countries, and exchanged views on the possibility of continuation of these activities of SOCAR in the future as well.
