BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. The officials of the two countries have reached certain agreements regarding Iran's gas export to Türkiye, Manager of the Dispatching Department of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Mohammad Reza Joulaei told Mehr News Agency, Trend reports.

Joulaei noted that in this direction, a meeting was held in Türkiye between the officials of Türkiye's Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) and the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

The official added that according to the agreements reached, all technical activities in the process of Iran's gas export to Türkiye will be carried out with the coordination of the two parties within the next 6 months.

“Thus, it is planned to carry out repair work on pipelines, to carry out cathodic protection, to cover pipelines, to renew the station in the city of Bazargan, West Azerbaijan Province of Iran,” he said

At present, Iran's gas export to Türkiye is an average of 30 million cubic meters per day.

Iran produces 900 million-1 billion cubic meters of gas per day, of which only about 6 percent is exported.
