BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 21. The value of total sales at the Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) amounted to 122 trillion rials (about $398 million) in the 10th month (December 22, 2022 through January 21, 2023), Trend reports citing the IRENEX.

Overall, more than 715,000 tons of hydrocarbon products worth about 114 trillion rials (about $371 million) were sold at the Iran Energy Exchange within the 10th month.

During the 10th month, 40.9 trillion rials (about $133 million) worth of products were sold on the domestic floor of the energy exchange, which is an increase of 69 percent in value compared to the 9th month (November 22 through December 21, 2022). The figure stood at about 24.2 trillion rials (about $79.7 million) in the 9th month.

The main goods sold on the domestic floor were gas condensate, solvent 402, white oil, heavy naphtha, methanol and etc.

In addition, approximately 72.8 trillion rials (about $237 million) worth of goods was sold on the international floor of the IRENEX for the 10th month, which is an increase of 41.7 percent in value compared to the 9th month. So, the figure was 51.3 trillion rials (about $169 million) in the 9th month.

The main goods sold on the international floor were liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), naphtha, solvent 402 and etc.

Moreover, about 588 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 404 billion rials (about $1.32 million) were sold at the IRENEX within the mentioned month.

At the same time, Standard Parallel Salaf (Islamic contract, similar to futures) documents worth 8.16 trillion rials (about $26.5 million) were also sold at the energy exchange in the 10th month.

The products at Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) are sold under the SANA exchange rate.

The SANA system is a system introduced by the Central Bank of Iran to the currency exchange offices, where the price of 1 euro is 332,443 rials, and the price of $1 is 306,930 rials.
