CONSTRUCTION OF MODULE POWER STATION SET UP IN SHEKI

Work on the construction of a module power station in Shaki District, west Azerbaijan, has been set up, Azerenerji Joint Stock Company told Trend.

Nazim Shikhaliyev, the deputy senior engineer of the repair and construction company AZENCO, it will be placed near to Sheki-Baku automobile highway at present the mobilization of equipment and construction materials is underway. The station will be commissioned in 2006.

By the end of the year Azerenerji plans to put into exploitation a module power station comprised of 10 modules each with the capacity of 8.7MW in Astara, South Azerbaijan. It will come as one of 52 stations that the company is going to commission in 2005-2006. A contract on the construction of the power station was signed with Finnish company Warstila.

In 2006 it is also planned to commission put in to exploitation 12 stations in thermo-power station #2 in Baku, 10 stations in Nakhchivan city, and 10 stations вЂ" in Khachmaz District.
