Shipping Company sets up construction of shipyard for tanker production in Azerbaijan head of company

The Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) of Azerbaijan will set up the construction of a shipyard or production of tankers and different tankers in the country, Aydin Bashirov, the head of the CSC, told Trend.

The place of the shipyard for construction and repair of vessels has been determined. It will be placed in Garadagh district of Baku in the area with the square of 20h, Bashirov noted. The enterprise will be placed n the base of 4 ship-building plants existing in the country. At present these enterprises are located I the Baku buoy, however, there is a resolution to replace the industrial enterprises out of the birder of Baku.

Today talks on the creation of similar plant are carried out with the counties and companies having relevant experience in this sphere. The talks have been conducted with the representatives of Korea and Russia, which have relevant experience in the creation and exploitation of similar enterprises.

Bashirov noted that they plan build in Azerbaijan not only tankers with big deadweight, but also dry cargo and passenger vessels. First of all the vessels will be used for covering the domestic demand pf Azerbaijan. Further they can be built at the order of other countries.
