Conclusion of long-term contracts on Azerbaijani oil delivery depends on the companies, who demonstrate very aggressive part at the tender announced by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). The companies offering high prices for Azerbaijani oil have more chances to win long term contracts, the SOCAR told Trend.
The issue on establishment of private trader of the SICAR for oil transportation is still under consideration. To ensure the purchase of the Azerbaijani oil produced by SOCAR, or belonging to the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, or AzACG, on the base of long-term contracts it is necessary to have more oil volumes. It is too difficult to account on long-term contracts with the two tankers a month, the same source underlined.
Further Azerbaijan will pass to general world norms. Now the SOCAR trades own volumes in the optimal form. The volumes are obviously put for tender. Oil is sold a buyer who proposes high prices irrespective on any priorities, the SOCAR emphasized.
