AZENCO Installed 590 Electric Counters in 2006

Today, the Azerbaijan Company, AZENCO is one of the largest building and assembly companies in the country, Trend reports quoting a message being spread by the press-service of Azerenerji JSC. The Company is currently implementing many projects in the country. Most of them cover installation of electric power facilities. In 2006, the Company was engaged in the construction of module power stations based upon Wartsila of Finland in Astara, Shaki, Khachmaz, Nakhchivan, and Baku. The Company is taking part in the construction of a combined-cycle plant with the capacity of 517 РњWatt in Sumgayit, which will have no analogues in FSU countries. AZENCO jointly with Sunir of Iran are taking part in the construction of electric power facilities in the regions bordering with Iran. It envisages increasing electric energy exchange between the two countries. In the above-mentioned project, the Company is participating in laying electric power transmission lines, Imishli- Pasabad (250 km), Ali-Bayramli-Salyan (65 km), and the construction of sub-station, Salyan with the capacity of 220 KWatt. The Company is taking part in the project on extending the Sangachal Oil Terminal. Particularly, AZNCO is extending sub-station, Sangachal with the capacity of 220 KWatt, installing sub-station, Terminal with the capacity of 110 KWatt, as well as transmission lines between the two facilities. In 2006, AZENCO installed 590.000 electric power counters to the consumers of the electric power distributing network, which are managed by Azerenerji in 46 Azerbaijan districts.
