The Chinese experience will help Uzbekistan to develop a digital platform for controlling the movement of goods, Trend reports citing the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.
The committee members have met the Chinese delegation which was led by Director General of Huawei in Uzbekistan Liu Jiaxin. The main topic of the negotiations was the introduction of digital technologies in the tax system of Uzbekistan .
“Similar large-scale tax reforms have been carried out in China, and they have occurred due to streamlining and optimization of the sphere. A unified information platform has become an effective foundation in monitoring compliance with tax laws,” Liu Jiaxin said.
The information platform, which later became known as the “Golden tax”, Huawei together with CEIEC company developed in 1994. It allows tracking the movement of products and all payments from the manufacturer to the final consumer.
During the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to cooperate in the implementation of digital technologies in the tax system of Uzbekistan. They also agreed on the visit of Uzbek specialists to China to study the experience of the "Golden tax".
