Uzbekistan to place new sovereign Eurobonds

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8

The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan announced the placement of new sovereign Eurobonds on the London Stock Exchange, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The proceeds from the issuance of international bonds in local currency will be used to finance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the SDG program for Uzbekistan.

Request of Proposals were sent to international investment banks and law firms. Underwriting banks were selected on a competitive basis and will be CitiBank (the US), JP Morgan Chase Bank(the US), Gazprombank (Russia) and MUFG Bank(Japan), the law consultant will be Dentons (the UK).

Teleconferences (Global Investor Call) with international investors will be held on July 8-9 in a one-on-one format; international investors from the US, the UK, Germany, France, Denmark and Switzerland are expected to participate.
