BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. The total assets of Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank increased by 16.58 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports referring to the bank's balance sheet.
According to the sheet report, the bank's total assets made up 7.8 billion manat ($4.58 billion), up by 1.1 billion manat ($646.1 million) year over year. Out of gross assets, 40.37 percent fell on the loan portfolio, growing by 19.04 percent and reaching 3.157 billion manat ($1.85 billion).
Targeted reserve deductions to ensure possible losses amounted to 368.19 million manat ($216.27 million).
Following the results of the 2022 fourth quarter, investments in securities (2.475 billion manat, or $1.45 billion) accounted for around 31.6 percent of Kapital Bank's total assets.
Meanwhile, 20.75 percent of the bank's assets fell on cash and cash equivalents, totaling 1.623 billion manat ($953.3 million).
Other assets of the bank amounted to 283.537 million manat ($166.5 million) in the reporting period.
