Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 October / Trend corr. S.Babayeva/ In Jan-Sep, 2008, the state-run Azerpocht of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communication and IT received 512,800 domestic money orders, up 62,500 orders from the same period of 2007.
A total of 7,879 money orders worth AZN 1.21mln were transferred from Azerbaijan (up 225 orders) and 13,600 money orders worth AZN 3.14mln were transferred to Azerbaijan (up 2,230 orders) by means of Azerpocht in that period.
Azerpocht includes 59 head post offices, 2 post enterprises, 2 subsidiaries and 8 communication centres.
Over 1,300 post offices operate within Azerpocht countrywide. Azerpocht enterprises employ over 4,200 people.
