Azerbaijan to mark day of national pavilion at Expo 2010 exhibition

The day of Azerbaijan's national pavilion will be marked within World Expo 2010 in Shanghai on Oct. 15, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry told trend.

Expo 2010 kicked off on May 1 and lasts until October 31 under the motto "Better City - Better Life".

There are Azerbaijan's achievements in various industries, as well as information and communication technologies in the national pavilion.

The exhibition provides information on the initiative of Azerbaijan to implement the transnational construction project of super informational highway East-West Center. It is designed to connect a total of 20 countries and play the role of locomotive for the region.

The exhibitions from 192 countries will be exhibited there. Pavilions occupy an area of five square kilometers. Over $4 billion was spent. All national expositions are available in online regime.

It is assumed that the number of visitors will reach 70 million people.
