Number of international Bakutel exhibition participants increases

Within the 18th Azerbaijani International Exhibition and Conference on telecommunications and information technologies in Baku, all the necessary conditions will be created for everyone to visit the exhibition, the executive director of ITE Group Plc Edward Strachan stated on Monday at a press-conference, dedicated to the opening of Bakutel.

Within the 18th Azerbaijani International Exhibition and Conference on telecommunications and information technologies in Baku, all the necessary conditions will be created for everyone to visit the exhibition, the executive director of ITE Group Plc Edward Strachan stated on Monday at a press-conference, dedicated to the opening of Bakutel.

"On November 6-9 all the conditions will be organized at the exhibition for the visitors to be able to successfully participate in it and to get acquainted with the latest achievements in the field of ICT," Strachan said.

According to him, the exhibition will be attended by 160 companies from 23 countries. The exhibition will feature eight collective expositions, including national teams of Austria, Canada, Israel, France, Lithuania, Croatia and Estonia. This year the national team of Slovenia will attend the exhibition for the first time..

The regular participants, including leading local and international IT companies, mobile operators, retailers, telecom operators, service companies make up 40 percent of the exhibition.

The Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Elmir Velizadeh stated during the press-conference that Bakutel exhibition is an important event in the life of Azerbaijani ICT sector.

According to him, at present, the country is actively working to diversify the economy and development of the ICT sector is one of the directions.

Within four days, the exhibition will include such segments as telecommunications, broadband and technology, wireless communications, satellite communications and technology, broadcasting equipment and technologies, software and automation systems, IT and office technologies. As before, the exhibition focuses on the aerospace industry, creating a system of satellites and personnel training. One of the participants in this sector is a stand of Azerkosmos, which is preparing to withdraw the first telecommunications satellite of Azerbaijan Azersat to orbit in 2013.
