The penetration level of Facebook among Internet users in Azerbaijan hit 18.1 percent as of Dec. 31, 2017, according to a report published by Internet World Stats - IWS.
According to the IWS data, the number of Facebook users in Azerbaijan is 1.8 million people (taking into account the country's population - over 9.92 million people).
Data on number of Facebook users in other former Soviet countries is as following: Tajikistan (170,000), Turkmenistan (20,000), Uzbekistan (800,000), Armenia (990,000), Georgia (2.1 million), Kazakhstan (2.5 million) and Kyrgyzstan (650,000).
The Internet penetration level in Azerbaijan was 80.6 percent (about 7.8 million users) during the reported period.
