"Turkmen Hemrasi" Closed Joint-Stock Company is performing the tasks of commercialization of the payload the national communication satellite TurkmenAlem 52°E, the "Neutral Turkmenistan" newspaper wrote.

The complex of communication systems has been launched at this stage, with the help of which the radio signal is converted and transmitted to the satellite via "FSS" channels. The equipment was provided by the Belgian company NEWTEC, the companies from the USA, Germany, Canada, UK, Korea, China, the message says.

The current teleport allows for multiplexing and modulation of satellite channels and to carry out retransmission using an antenna in the Ku-range, which increases the efficiency of the satellite resource use by almost three times.

At present, about ten companies working mainly in the oil and gas sector of the country's economy use the services of the Turkmen teleport. The RWE Dee A. G., CNPC, BKE Shelf, PETRONAS companies have signed contracts for the use of satellite communication services.

The characteristics of the satellite make it possible to use it for data transmission between ground stations, provision of broadband Internet services, organization of remote training, remote medicine services, implementation of various video conferences, as well as for other types of communication services.

The launch of TurkmenAlem 52°e satellite was carried out on April 28, 2015 from Cape Canaveral (Florida, USA).

The first Turkmen satellite is equipped with three antennas, the coverage area of which includes dozens of countries in Europe and Asia, as well as countries of the Middle East and North Africa. The satellite has 38 active communication channels-transponders. Of these, 26 are used by Turkmenistan, the remaining 12 have been given on the long-term lease to Space Systems International-Monaco S. A. M. company. TurkmenAlem 52.00 E satellite is able to provide satellite telephony, data transmission and other types of communication between ground stations located at distances up to 10,000-15,000 kilometers from each other.
