By Huseyn Veliyev - Trend:

The Azerbaijani company Horizon Next will operate in China, founder of the company Rashid Aliyev told Trend Dec. 11.

He said that the company will produce an interactive Braille Teach device for learning Braille alphabet.

“Horizon Next entered the top ten winners of a competition organized recently by the executive power of Guangzhou city,” said Aliyev. “We have already received the support of Chinese companies and are negotiating with them regarding the deployment of production of these devices. The registration procedure for Horizon Next in China will be completed January next year, and production will start in March.”

The initial test batch of 1,000 Braille Teach devices will be supplied to the European market, he noted.

“Production costs will be covered by the partner investor, but for further production we will need to attract additional investments worth $200,000,” he added. “Promising markets where these devices can be supplied include China, India, the US and European countries. Certain changes were made to the devices, affecting both their design and functionality.”

Braille Teach devices are designed for visually impaired children, and using these devices they can learn Braille alphabet via a simple and convenient method. The device has voice support: it is enough for the child to press the necessary button, for example, the combination of the letter "A", and the device will sound it. Accordingly, the device reports errors in case if wrong buttons are pressed. Braille Teach has games that make it easy to learn Braille.

Braille Teach devices support five languages (Azerbaijani, Russian, English, German and Ukrainian). Language support, as Aliyev had earlier said, will gradually develop as the device enters new markets.
