BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. Binance cryptocurrency exchange is ready to support the Azerbaijani Central Bank in establishing the mechanism for regulating crypto-assets, Director of Governmental Relations in CIS for Binance Olga Goncharova told Trend on December 2.
According to her, Binance held a meeting with the Central Bank and discussed the issues of regulating crypto-assets in Azerbaijan.
"In practice, the Central Banks worldwide and in a number of CIS countries choose to regulate cryptocurrencies rather than ban them. From this perspective, introducing regulation will increase confidence in this industry, as well as expand foreign direct investment in the country. The most important part about this is that any regulation ensures the protection of citizens and crypto-asset users," Goncharova added.
