Azerbaijan is establishing bilateral money transfer by MTF/STEFI system with a number of Central Asian countries. Head of mail communication with the Ministry of Communication and IT Novruz Mamedov told Trend the talks are held with Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan. Initial agreement has already been reached to date
As against these countries, Azerbaijan is technically ready to implement money transfer via MTF/STEFI. В"Mail administrations of these countries addressed us for technical assistance on the system implementationВ", - said Azeri official.
The Ministry officials suggest commencement of bilateral money transfer process in 2006.
At the moment Azerbaijan is exchanging money using РњРўF/STEFI with Russia, Moldova, Byelorussia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and UAE (starting May 1).
