Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The visit of the Special Assignments Minister for Electronic Government Affairs of Latvia, Iny Gudele, to Baku commenced on 29 March.
According to the information provided by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan, in the first half of the day, a meeting was held between the Latvian Minister and Azerbaijan's Communications Minister, Ali Abbasov. The meeting focused on the prospects of the co-operation between the two countries.
In the second half of the day, a forum took place, participated by the IT companies of the two countries. The Latvian Minister made a presentation regarding the situation of the E-Government in Latvia. The sides exchanges views on possible exchange of the experience with regards to E-Government.
In addition, the Latvian delegation was interested in the project on creation of the regional innovation zone in Azerbaijan.
The sides will prepare joint plan of measures and after completing this process, the exact directions of the co-operation will be defined.
The visit will conclude at the end of the week.
