BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 8. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Jask port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), increased by 10 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 25,300 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 8th month.

Of this, 19,000 tons were exported and 6,300 tons were imported through the Jask port over the 8th month.

“Some 18,800 tons of essential products, 286 tons of construction and mining materials and 6,300 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Jask port in the 8th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

In general, approximately 12.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 8th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.92 million tons were loaded and 5.76 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 3.7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
