BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at the Shahid Bahonar port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), decreased by 15 percent, in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

More than 107,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port in the 11th month. Of this, 95,000 tons were loaded and 12,200 tons were unloaded.

Furthermore, about 57,500 tons of cargo were exported and 6,020 tons were imported through the Shahid Bahonar port over the reporting month.

Within the 11th month, 882 tons of cargo were loaded and 3,860 tons were unloaded at the port for transit.

At the same time, 36,600 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for cabotage. As well as, 18 tons of cargo were loaded and 2,340 tons were unloaded for other purposes during the 11th month.

Some 28,800 tons of essential products, 680 tons of metal products, about 25,200 tons of construction and mining materials, and 4,080 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded at the Shahid Bahonar port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 26 tons of chemicals, 11 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 2,340 tons of container products, and 46,100 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In total, approximately 12.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.9 million tons were loaded and 5.88 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.37 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
