BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 28. The Kazakh companies managed to sufficiently provide the market with local products, namely, flour (99.7 percent of demand is covered by domestic products), eggs (97.2 percent), cereals and rice (96.6 percent), red meat and poultry (95.5 percent), vegetable oils (88.8 percent), as well as pasta, noodles and other starchy foods (85.1 percent) as of January 2022, Trend reports with reference to www.energyprom.kz .

As for the dairy products except for fresh milk, the self-sufficiency ratio is rather good - 84.4 percent. However, the provision of certain products is not sufficient.

Thus, local companies cover the demand for butter by only 67.9 percent and by 53.7 percent for cheese and curd.

Moreover, sausages (local companies cover 62.3 percent), fruit and vegetable juices (50.2 percent), processed and canned fish, crustaceans and mollusks (47.6 percent), chocolate (36.2 percent), sugar (35.8 percent), tea and coffee (only 29.9 percent) are still imported.

Among alcoholic drinks, local companies cover the demand for beer by 93.2 percent, vodka and alcoholic beverages - by 77.9 percent, cognac - by 58.6 percent, wine - by 49.4 percent (champagne - by 95.5 percent).

The prices for imported products and goods increased by 12.8 percent in January 2022. The prices for products imported by Kazakhstan from the CIS countries increased by 21.3 percent, from other countries - by 4.9 percent.

Moreover, the prices for sugar and confectionery products increased by 38.7 percent, processed meat, fish or crustaceans, mollusks (by 32.3 percent), animal or vegetable fats and oils (by 26.9 percent), sausages and similar meat products (by 20.6 percent), fish and crustaceans (by 19.6 percent), sunflower oil (by 15 percent).

The prices for food products increased by 10 percent in the domestic market as of February 2022. The prices greatly increased in Akmola, Mangystau and Aktobe regions.

Among food products, the prices for cereals increased by 16 percent, oils and fats - by 14.1 percent, pasta - by 12.5 percent, fruits and vegetables - by 12.4 percent, flour - by 11.1 percent, meat - by 11.1 percent, sugar - by 11 percent.
