BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 3. The output from the Tengiz field, an oil and gas field in Kazakhstan's Atyrau region, is expected to increase by 12 million tons per year, Argus, an independent analytical company, said in its latest review, Trend reports.

The analysis says that, in 2022, the total oil production in Kazakhstan amounted to 84.2 million tons. At the same time, the exports totaled 64.4 million tons. The refining volumes amounted to 18 million tons.

As Argus expects, Kazakhstan's oil output in 2023 will stand at 90.5 million tons, of which 71 million tons will be exported. The refining capacity is projected at 17.9 million tons, a little down from last year figure.

Moreover, it is expected that Kazakhstan's oil and gas output will grow not only from Tengiz, but all over the country, the report noted.

According to the latest OPEC overview, Kazakhstan's oil output in January 2023 declined by 14,000 b/d month-on-month to an average of 2 mb/d. At the same time, Kazakhstan’s liquids output in 2023 is expected to increase by 159,000 b/d.
