BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 26. Kyrgyzstan has put forward a proposal to establish a common economic market within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), based on modern innovative development principles, Trend reports.

Akylbek Japarov, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, presented this idea during an extended meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Bishkek.

Japarov explained that this market's purpose is to create favorable conditions for sustainable socio-economic development in the region.

Additionally, he stressed that improving the transportation system among SCO member states would attract more international transit traffic, significantly boosting trade between these countries.

"In this context, I want to emphasize the ongoing progress of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway project, which will link the East and West along the China-Western Asia-Europe route," he said.

Japarov also mentioned that the plan for cooperation among railway administrations in SCO countries, currently under approval, will enhance transit transportation. Additionally, he highlighted efforts to strengthen cooperation in e-commerce, electronic customs, and electronic logistics.

The meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Bishkek is attended by the Prime Ministers of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the Premier of the State Council of China, the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan, and the Foreign Ministers of India and Pakistan.
