Three members of an armed group have been killed in a federal operation in east Tajikistan, the head of the former Soviet state's Interior Ministry said on Sunday, RIA Novosti reported.
Takhid Normatiov said the three militants had been operating in the Rasht region.
He also said that all three had received training at terrorist camps in Afghanistan.
At least 23 Tajik servicemen were killed in a militant attack in the east of the country in September.
Also in September, in the north of the impoverished state, some 30 police officer were killed in a suicide bomb attack.
